According to, that exit code pops up when the client runs out of memory, despite launching with 8GB of RAM allocated using the JVM argument "-Xmx8G". However, only after forcing the program to shut down do I get a fatal error in the output window with an exit code of "-805306369". The last time I tried launching the game I got into the main menu but it froze shortly after. Unfortunately, the new Minecraft launcher is more designed for "aesthetic" rather than showing statistics, so I had to enable some settings to see the output window. The other day I went and allocated 8GB of RAM instead of the default 1GB to the game and managed to get into the main menu, but the game froze right after.
In my case however, I can load the launcher just fine, but it stops responding once the game gets to the Mojang screen. My one friend was able to get Minecraft running for like 3 weeks before it refused to open while another friend claimed that Minecraft just wouldn't open at all. By those specs, there should be no reason why a device like this can't run a Java game (yes we all have the most recent version of Java). My laptop has a Core i7-8550U quad-core CPU, 16GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, an NVIDIA MX150 dedicated graphics chip, on a 4K screen. The issue, is that me and 3 of my friends with the exact same model of laptop can't get Minecraft to run.
